<h3>About the Authors</h3>

Dr. Eugene C. Toy is a dual-certified family physician and obstetrician-gynecologist serving as Academic Chief and Program Director at The Methodist Hospital’s obstetrics and gynecology residency program in Houston, Texas. He also leads the obstetrics-gynecology clerkship at Christus St. Joseph Hospital and actively mentors medical students.

Dr. Cynthia R. Skinner DeBord holds an adjunct faculty position in Biology at Tomball College in Texas. She previously served as microbiology course director at UT–Houston School of Medicine.

Dr. Audrey Wanger is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at The University of Texas–Houston Medical School.

Dr. Gilbert A. Castro functions as Vice President for Health Affairs and Vice President for Academic Affairs at The University of Texas at El Paso.

Dr. Donald Briscoe is Program Director of the Family Practice Residency at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.

Dr. James D. Kettering holds the title of Emeritus Professor of Microbiology at Loma Linda University Schools of Medicine and Dentistry in California.
